🍸 Nightlife

Aristocrat Lounge

6507 Burnet Rd
This used to be a dive bar and it’s still not fancy. The beers on tap are cold and they have some great cocktails. Plus, there’s a small outdoor patio in the back.

Lala’s Little Nugget

2207 Justin Lane – about a 7 minute walk
A strip mall bar offering a unique Austin experience, where Christmas is celebrated all year long and not much has changed since the 70s. Serving beer on tap, wine and cocktails. Great New York pizza-by-the-slice place next door.

Nickel City

1133 E 11th St
From the exterior, this “speakeasy” is the favorite among local Austinites. They have a cocktail for everyone, including classics, creative can’t-get-elsewhere, tiki, and frozen. They also serve  yummy Detroit style hotdogs, sliders, and wings.

The Roosevelt Room

307 W 5th St
Upscale cocktail bar, serving unique cocktails by era. You’ll find a variety of classic favorites and creative cocktails and your biggest challenge will be choosing one from the extensive menu. Reservations smart.

Driskill Bar (Currently closed for renovation)

604 Brazos St
I always take my out-of-town friends here. It’s a gorgeous 1886 hotel on 6th Street and has a fantastic bar reflecting the Texas cattle baron glory days. They have a good happy hour and live music.
